DRIVER REHABILITATION

Our Driver Rehabilitation services are dedicated  to individuals with disabilities and special needs, or a condition that may impair their ability to drive safely.

 

• Stroke

• Amputation

• Hip Fracture/ Joint Replacement

• Spinal Cord Injury

• Traumatic Brain Injury

• Neurological Disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Cerebral Palsy

• Alzheimer's Disease/ Dementia

• Autism/ Asperger's Syndrome

• ADD/ADHD

• Adolescents with a disability who have not held a driver's license and need in-car instruction for the first time

• Clients undergoing Medical Review with the DMV who need an evaluation with a CDRS (Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist)

• Senior drivers experiencing a change in abilities as a result of the natural aging process

DRIVER EDUCATION

 

Our Driver Training services are available for teenagers with a disability who are in the process of receiving their Drivers License for the first time.

 

• Students must be atleast 16 years and 3 months of age, and held their learner's permit for 9 months.

• Must have completed 20 Hours of the 45 Hour Driving Log (15 Hours must be after sunset) prior to beginning Behind-the-Wheel.

• Behind-the-Wheel = 7 hours of driving and observation

- Must have completed 36hour classroom sessions and recieved DEC-1 prior to  starting Behind-the-Wheel.
